CONsole Room 2014 Has Begun

Yes, that’s right – it’s happening. The first dedicated Doctor Who convention in the Twin Cities in 20 years! We had a great Friday and Saturday has been even more fun. We’re looking forward to spending time with the hundreds of you that have shown up! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter as we’re posting lots of updates and photos there throughout the weekend. We’ve also put together a Flickr album so you can see all our candid shots in one spot. Feel free to post and tweet your own thoughts and photos with the #CONsoleRoom tag. You can add your photos directly to the Flickr album, too.

Here’s to a great convention!

Masquerade News

For all of you cosplayers and costumers out there, be sure to check out our updated Masquerade page for all the info on our Saturday-night masquerade. We also included information about our Hall Costume Contest, which you can participate in whether you’re in the masquerade or not.

We can’t wait to see all of your great costumes this weekend!

Volunteers

Calling all volunteers! A number of people signed up to volunteer during the registration process (thank you for that!), but we could still use more helping hands throughout the convention weekend to check badges, manage lines, provide help to our attendees, and more. Interested in helping us out? E-mail our volunteer coordinator Roger at roger.consoleroom@gmail.com to let him know! If you’re interested in volunteer in a specific area, please let Roger know and he will try to accommodate those requests (note – he may not be able to match every volunteer with their preferred volunteer tasks). You can also sign up in person at the convention. Just stop by Registration at any time and let them know you’d like to help out as a volunteer and they’ll direct you to Roger.

Thank you!
