Costuming Competitions

The TARDIS wardrobe awaits! Whether you’re wearing your 7th Doctor pullover that you’ve had since 1988, or if you cross-play as 11, you’ll be welcome in our Costuming Competitions!

Although the contests will be the talk of the vortex, don’t limit your costuming to the main event! We can’t wait to see all the Time Lords, Time Ladies, Draconians, Weeping Angels, companions, and other alien races and characters parading the halls all weekend!

CONsole Room has two opportunities to show off your costuming skills:

Hall Costume Contest (Friday)

Stop by the Costuming Table Friday night between 8 PM and 10 PM to sign up and get your photo taken. On Saturday, from 10 AM until 4 PM, these photos will be displayed at the Costuming Table and all attendees can vote for their top three favorites. The winner will be announced during the the Costume Showcase on Saturday night.

Costume Showcase (Saturday)

This event allows you to show off your costume on stage! The Costume Showcase will be held at 7:30 pm on the Mainstage, with SLYTHERPUFF performing the halftime show.

Sign up between 10 AM and 4 PM on Saturday at the Costuming Table. All costumes are welcome whether purchased, created, or a combination of the two. However, remember, we are a PG/PG-13 show. All costumers are welcome, no matter your skill level. Costumes can be judged for workmanship, stage presentation, or both!

Attend one of the Costuming Showcase 101 sessions to schedule your judging time, ask questions, and learn what you need to know for the evening. These 30 minute sessions will be held at 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM in the Costuming Green Room. Judging will occur between 5 PM and 7 PM.

Awards will be given out to the best in each of these divisions as well as a best in workmanship, presentation, and best in show.
