Move with T’ai Chi in January

We are excited to announce that Twin Cities T’ai Chi Chu’an Studio will be joining us in 2019

Twin Cities T’ai Chi Chu’an Studio is dedicated to teaching and promoting Yang-style T’ai-Chi Ch’uan. They believe that T’ai-Chi is universally accessible and that everyone can benefit from its study, so they offer a wide variety of courses and times.

Don’t miss this chance to give T’ai Chi a try at CONsole Room 2019! Learn more about the studio at THEIR WEBSITE, or learn more about our 2019 Guests at our GUEST PAGE.

The Sevateem Joins Us in 2019

We’re excited to announce that THE SEVATEEM will be joining us as Featured Guests at CONsole Room 2019!

The Sevateem are an indie electronic group made up of otherwise-boring married couple Christian Erickson and Janey Winterbauer. Christian grew up a hardcore Doctor Who nerd and was a member of M.U.M. – a Twin Cities fan group that made Doctor Who spoof videos for cable access in the 80s. Janey, on the other hand, grew up in the theater doing much cooler things at CTC and other venues. The two met playing in electronic pop band Astronaut Wife at the turn of the millennium. Since the breakup of that band in the mid-2000s, Janey has become a ubiquitous voice in local music, lending her pipes to bands like The New Standards and The Twilight Hours. She was also a vocalist/cast member on MPR’s radio variety show “Wits” and is currently busy as backup singer for Twin Cities’ punk/pop legends The Suburbs.

The two – with the help many talented local musicians – recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of Christian’s by releasing “The Caves” – a concept album based entirely on the classic Who episode “The Caves of Androzani” which has drawn rave reviews from fans and media.

The Sevateem will be talking about their music and process at our convention, and we are THRILLED to be bringing them to CONsole Room this year!
